On October 17, 2007 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, over 100 persons - Ambassadors, Attachés and Delegates of UN Member States, Representatives of NGOs and others attended a side event  on "Development, the new Name for Peace", commemorating the 40th Anniversary of Pope Paul VI's Encyclical Populorum Progressio (On the Development of Peoples).             

This event was sponsored by the Permanent Observer Mission of the Holy See to the United Nations and the Path to Peace Foundation.
