At 6:00 p.m. in the the General Assembly entrance of the United Nations Headquarters Building, the Permanent Observer Mission of the Holy See Mission, and its co-sponsor, the UNESCO Chair in Bioethics and Human Rights (Rome, Italy) will be hosting an Unveiling Ceremony for the UNESCO Chair in Bioethics and Human Rights Global Art Competition.
The theme of the competition and the exhibit calls upon artists from around the world to reflect upon the need to “Respect Human Vulnerability, Personal Integrity, Cultural Diversity and Pluralism.” The eleven winning artworks, chosen by an international panel of judges from among hundreds of entries will be exhibited in the General Assembly entrance area as a reminder of the interconnected nature of bioethics and human rights.
The unveiling of the art exhibit will take place at 6:00 p.m. at the General Assembly entrance area followed by introductory remarks and reception. All are invited to attend. Space is limited.
